When you are in business it sometimes takes forever to do the simplest tasks, particularly when it comes to creating Word or Excel documents, mail outs, creating and managing databases. I’ve done all the courses over the years and even have qualifications in administration. So why would someone like me who is a real whiz ask Executive Business Solutions (EBS) to do nearly all these tasks? It’s very simple…it’s done faster and it’s done to an exceptionally high standard!
Having the facility to email my VA and say ‘I want to create this document, put it on my website and then send it to everyone on the database is so much easier than me having to do it when I have more important things to do with my time, like managing and growing my business. It is so cost effective too.
Initially making the decision to hand over the responsibility was a bit scary for a control freak like me. Once I knew that my VA was much better at it than me, it was like the flood gates opening…I was sending everything to her. I think I cut out at least six hours a week of administration tasks, which gave me six hours of time to do work on networking and marketing.
